2014 | Day 39 - Art Party

This year I decided to give Kenzie a little birthday party for her and a few friends from church.  It was really fun.  We painted, decorated cupcakes, ate pizza and danced! 

2014 | Day 38 - Crib

Chase has been trying to get out of his crib this week.  He hasn't been able to yet, but we know it's coming.  We have tried to wait as long as possible, but it looks like we are going to have to take of the side of the crib soon.  It is probably better so he can night potty train. 

2014 | Day 37 - 7 Years Old

Today is Kenzie's 7th birthday.  We ate cake, opened presents, played games, and made loom bracelets.  It was an amazing day!

2014 | Day 35 - Girls Night

I go out with the Putnam girls every 1st Tuesday of the month.  This month they decided to invite Kenzie and Kelly since it is their birthday month.  We all went to Outback and had a great time.  Kenzie ordered cheese fries and a salad (and I got the same thing!)  They even gave her ice cream and sang happy birthday to her.  She loved it!

2014 | Day 34 - Big Bed

This little guy loves to lay in Dean's bed to watch TV.

2014 | Day 33 - Photoshoot

Kenzie is turning 7 this week, so today we went to a park to take some pictures of her.  I love this girl so much.  She is such a blessing in our home and I am so grateful to be her Mom.  I can't believe how grown up she is getting.

2014 | Day 32 - Bracelets

We decided to make loom bracelets for all the kids in Dean and Kenzie's school class for valentines day this year.  They have to make just over 50 bracelets.  Kenzie made the 1st one today.  I hope we can get them done because it will be a fun treat for their classes. 

2014 | Day 31 - Book Report

Kenzie had to turn in her 1st book report today.  She read Priscilla and the Pink Planet.  It is a really cute book.  For the report she had to decorate a cereal box with information about the book.  I love her illustrations.  She is so talented. 

2014 | Day 30 - iPad

Today was a very lazy day.  Dean spent the day playing his iPad and working on some homework. 

2014 | Day 29 - Snow Angel

2014 | Day 28 - Snow

It snowed today!  It is the first time Chase has ever seen snow.  He loved it.  The snow wasn't very good for making a snowman or anything, so the kids just threw it at each other and tried to sled down the hill.  It was a fun, and cold, day!

I am catching up on my 2013 Project Life.  I want to get it done asap so I can start on this years book.

2014 | Day 26 - Meatloaf Burgers

Meatloaf burgers on a Publix bun with a pickle is my favorite meal right now! 

2014 | Day 25 - Tickets and Gifts

Grandma Bush came in town for a few hours today.  We picked her up from the airport and went to lunch at Chick-fil-a.  While we were there, Kenzie got to open her birthday gifts from Grandma and Grandpa.  They gave her tons of art supplies.  She was so excited.  After lunch, we went to Monkey Joes.  The kids got to bounce and play.  They asked my mom if they could play some arcade games, and she gave them both a few coins.  Dean ended up winning 1000 tickets with his coin.  He was so happy the entire day.  It was a fun day.  I just wish my Mom could have stayed a little while longer!

2014 | Day 23 - Lunch

The kids make their own lunches for school each morning.  Kenzie usually eats a PB&J sandwich, chips, applesauce, and juice.

Chase is a pro at drinking every last drop of milk before he finishes his breakfast.

2014 | Day 21 - Selfie

Today I thought it would be fun to do a few pictures of myself while the kids were at school.  I really wanted a picture of me in my favorite place (at my computer)  It is where I spend a lot of my time.  I love editing pictures, scrapbooking, running my business, listening to music, skyping my family, keeping up with everyone on blogs and facebook, and blogging about my own life.  I am so grateful to live in this time where we have so much information at our fingertips. 

2014 | Day 20 - Holiday at the Park

The kids are off school today for MLK day.  The weather was amazing today.  It got up to 60 degrees, so we took the kids to the park for some fresh air and a picnic.  It was a really fun afternoon.

2014 | Day 19 - Sunday Best

Today was the first day this year that we all made it to church.  We have had too many sickies in the house the past few weeks.  It felt really good to all be together feeling of the spirit.  After church, I made the kids sit down for a few pictures before changing out of their Sunday best.  They all looked adorable today. 

2014 | Day 18 - Window

Chase loves to look out the window and watch airplanes, birds, deer, and anything else he can spot.

2014 | Day 17 - Basketball

Dean played a little game of basketball with the neighbor kids this afternoon. 

2014 | Day 16 - Facetime Reading

Kenzie loves to facetime Grandma on her iPad.  Today she asked Grandma if she could read to her.  So, she read a chapter from her Junie B. book.

2014 | Day 15 - Reading

Dean has to do a book report every month for his gifted reading class.  This month he is reading a book called Toothpaste Millionaire.  He has really enjoyed it so far.  It has a lot of math in the book, which is perfect for Dean.

2014 | Day 14 - Laundry

Today was laundry day.  I think I washed 6 loads and when the kids got home we folded all the clothes together.

2014 | Day 13 - Park

We promised the kids that we would take them to the park after school.  So, when they got home we all got in the car and went to the park.  About 2 minutes after we got there it started to rain.  They still wanted to play for a little while.

2014 | Day 12 - Ninja

Chase is obsessed with a game called Clumsy Ninja on the iPad.  He would play it all day if I let him.

Scott spent the day skiing with his family.

2014 | Day 10 - Gifted

We got a letter from the school today telling us that Kenzie tested into the gifted program!  It is called Focus at her school and they meet once a week in 1st grade.  We are so proud of her.  She works so hard and tries so hard in her classes.  To celebrate we took her to Outback for dinner.  She got a salad and cheese fries :)

2014 | Day 08 - Back to School

The kids started back to school today after a 2 week winter vacation.  They were pretty excited to see their teachers and friends again.  Kenzie didn't feel well this morning, so I took her to school a little late and got to walk her to class. 

2014 | Day 07 - Snow Day

The kids got an extra day off school today for a snow day.  The funny thing is that there was no snow.  It was extremely cold so we tried to do some experiments outside.  First we tried to freeze bubbles.  We only got one to freeze a little.  I think it needed to be a lot colder.  Then, we threw boiling water into the cold and watched it freeze.  That was pretty cool.  

2014 | Day 06 - Painting Owls

Kenzie is such a great little artist.  She loves anything to do with art and creativity.  I let her paint this afternoon for a special treat.  I'm so glad I did because I ended up with this beautiful painting.  I can't wait to hang it in her room.  She is so talented.

2014 | Day 05 - Morning Church

One of the best parts of the new year is the change in time for church.  We now go from 9am to Noon.  I love being in the morning again.  I told the kids that we would be taking a picture at the church before we went in.  Right before we got to the church, Dean started complaining that his stomach hurt.  Right after I snapped this picture he ran to the grass and started throwing up.  I felt so bad for him.  Scott took him and Chase home and I stayed with Kenzie to teach our new primary class.   

2014 | Day 04 - Snowing Paper

Kenzie has been praying for snow this year, so today she spent the afternoon cutting out paper snowflakes.  When she finished she made it snow all around the house.  I love her creativity :)

2014 | Day 03 - Siblings

Chase and Kenzie are such great friends.  They like to play together and they take care of each other. I caught them snuggling this morning. 

2014 | Day 02 - Chase

Chase is such a fun 2 year old.  He is full of energy.  He is always jumping around the house, throwing balls, playing the iPad, watching Blues Clues, eating apple sause, and giving me hugs and kisses.  He still takes a 3 hour nap each afternoon.  He love to help out around the house, his favorite chore is helping us move the laundry from the washer to the dryer.  He is our little dare devil.  He is always trying to push his limits physically.  He loves to sing and dance.  He introduces himself to everyone he meets.  He is learning his ABC's and how to count.  He is obsessed with his hats, he wears one everyday.

2014 | Day 01 - Happy 2014

Happy 2014!  I am so excited for this new year and for all the possibilities it brings.  I am so grateful for these 3 little people that I get to spend my life with.  They are such blessings to Scott and me and we love them more and more each day.
