2013 | Day 31 - Table Slide

A few times a year, we pull out the folding table and let the little kids slide.  Chase is the only one still small enough to do this so we got it out for him.  He has been sliding non stop today.

2013 | Day 30 - Rainy Day

It was a very, very rainy day today.  When the kids were getting home from school, Scott left to pick them up at the bus stop so they didn't have to walk in the pouring rain.  While they were gone, Chase woke up from his nap.  He was very interested in the rain so I took him on the deck to watch it.  He ended up playing in the water for about an hour.

2013 | Day 29 - 8 Days

Kenzie loves birthdays.  She counts down to everyones birthday for months.  She has been especially excited for this birthday.  Everyday she tells us how many more days she has to wait.  So today, while she was at school, I put the countdown on the chalkboard.  She was thrilled :)

2013 | Day 28 - Hat

Chase is a hat boy.  He loves them.  He especially loves wearing Scott's hats.  I think it's because they are big and easy for him to put on.  Today Chase and I played peek-a-boo with the hat for probably 30 minutes.

2013 | Day 27 - Girls

Kenzie and me during sacrament meeting.  We always sit in the back because Chase is very loud and I usually spend most of the time in the hall with him.  But today Scott took him out so I got to sit and enjoy the meeting with Dean and Kenzie.  (iPhone picture)

2013 | Day 26 - Static

Its Family Night at the Putnams again and it is another beautiful day!  I thought it was going to be cold (since yesterday was freezing) so I made all my kids wear long sleeves and jackets.  They were probably sweating all night.  Well, Chase played on the trampoline and his hair was full of static.  It was fun to watch him and his cousin, Eden.  They both have lots of baby hair and it was all sticking straight up :) (We had to leave early tonight because Dean started running another fever.)

2013 | Day 25 - Fever

Poor Dean!  He is home sick with a fever.  He has spent the entire day on the couch watching TV and sleeping.  Also, this is the first day he has missed school this school year.  He was really trying to get perfect attendance.  He is going to try again in 3rd grade.  I just hope he starts feeling better soon. 

2013 | Day 24 - Basketball

Chase loves basketball.  He will stand by the basement door and beg to go downstairs to shoot some hoops.  So, Scott brought the basketball hoop upstairs for him.  He has been playing all day! 

2013 | Day 23 - Artist

Chase colored his first picture ever!  He had a lot of fun playing with all the crayons.  The challenge was keeping the crayons out of his mouth.

2013 | Day 22 - Black Eye

Today at school, Dean was playing with one of his friends and the friend stood up while Dean was leaning over him.  The result was this nice black eye.  Dean said he didn't even hurt, but it is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.  He got to to to the clinic to get an ice pack and call us. 

2013 | Day 21 - New Bike

Kenzie got a bike for her 5th birthday (almost a year ago) and we are just now getting it out of the box and put together.  She has just recently started asking us about it and acting interested in riding a bike.  So, Scott and Kenzie worked together to put it together.  Kenzie is going to practice a lot so she can take off the training wheels this summer. 

2013 | Day 20 - Nursery

Today Chase went to nursery for the first time!  I know he is only 17 months, but Scott and I got called to team teach a primary class and they said he could start a few weeks early.  We weren't sure if we wanted him to go this week, but after sacrament meeting we were walking to the primary room and he saw the other kids and ran into the room to start playing.  So, we let him stay.  They said he was perfect!  He played the whole time and never cried.  I think Scott and I looked in the window 15 times.

2013 | Day 19 - Big Boys

Today we hosted a baby shower for Estela and Mark.  It was very fun.  Dean and Kenzie loved it because all their cousins came to play.  I was able to snap this picture of the 4 oldest boys.  (Seth, Jackson, Dean and Logan)

2013 | Day 18 - Playing with Ethan

Chase loves babies.  He thinks they are fun to watch and he always tries to give them their pacifier.  Today Ethan came over with Katie to help decorate for the baby shower we are hosting tomorrow.  Chase had the best time with his little cousin.

2013 | Day 17 - Ear Buds

Scott and I always have our headphones in.  We are either listening to music or an audiobook (right now I'm listening to the Eragon series).  Chase loves to hear what we are listening to.  So, he always pulls out the ear buds and tries to put them into his ear.  He gets excited and starts to dance when he hears music.

2013 | Day 16 - Buiding Light Sabers

Dean got a 'Build your own mini light saber' kit in his Christmas stocking.  So, today we got it out to see if it worked.  It was pretty fun.

2013 | Day 15 - 17 Months

Chase just keeps getting older and older.  I want time to slow down a little.  This month has been so fun.  Chase is learning lots of new words and signs.  He is always laughing and playing.  We love having him in our family!

2013 | Day 14 - Dentist

Dean and Kenzie went to the dentist this morning for their cleanings and checkups.  Their regular dentist retired a few months ago, so they got to go to our dentist.  They were great and said they like the new dentist more than the old one.  Dean has a tiny cavity in the back and Kenzie is cavity free!  They were both very brave.  It was also great because my crown came in while the kids were getting their teeth cleaned and the doctor was able to put it on for me a week early :)

2013 | Day 13 - Sunday Nap

This year our church is from 1pm - 4pm.  It has been really hard on Chase.  Today he was really mad during sacrament meeting, so I took him into one of the classrooms and made him lay down.  He was asleep in a few seconds.  It is going to be a long year!

2013 | Day 12 - Bounce

Tonight was family night at the Putnams.  It was a perfect day, so we all went out and jumped on the trampoline.  The kids didn't even need a jacket :)  Chase loved it.  He would run around and fall over. 

2013 | Day 11 - Glasses

Chase is obsessed with the glasses we got him last Halloween.  I usually keep them in the diaper bag so he has something to play with when we are out or at church.  Well, today he found them and had lots of fun.  He is such a stud with the cutest personality. 

2013 | Day 10 - Gaming

Dean is a video game addict.  He doesn't care if he is playing on the Wii, Playstation, iPad, or computer.  He will play anything.  He found out that he can play all the learning games from his school on the school website.  So, today he spent the afternoon trying to master all the games. 

2013 | Day 09 - Rolling Balls

Chase LOVES playing with balls.  I also think it's one of his favorite words to say.  Today we were trying to find things to roll the balls on.  He loved experimenting around the house!

2013 | Day 08 - Hair Dresser

Kenzie has been experimenting with her hair the past few months.  She has learned how to comb out the tangles and how to put her hair into a ponytail (well, kindof).  Today she wanted to see how many accessories she could put in her hair.

2013 | Day 07 - Reading

Kenzie loves to read.  She will read to anyone that will listen.  Today Chase was loving looking at the books and listening to her.  (Also, its weird to think that these two kids were both born with very dark brown hair!)

Kenzie lost her 2nd tooth today!

2013 | Day 05 - Shoe Shopping

We all went to Target today to buy Dean some new school shoes (we didn't find anything that he liked) but Chase decided he had to ride around the store like this.  I think he just wanted to see everything. 

2013 | Day 04 - Bikes

It was such a beautiful day today that we all went outside to ride bikes. 

2013 | Day 03 - Dare Devil

Chase is my little Dare Devil!  He is willing to try anything.  And, if he gets hurt he will get a hug then try again.  Well, today he wanted to stand on his firetruck.  I was just taking pictures of him riding around the front room when he stopped and stood up on it.  He is one crazy little boy!

2013 | Day 02 - Wake Up!

Chase wanted to help me wake up the kids this morning.  He has loved having Dean and Kenzie home the past few weeks. 

2013 | Day 01 - Happy 2013

It's 2013!  I feel so blessed as this year starts.  I have 3 beautiful kids and an amazing husband.  I am so excited to see what this year brings!
