2012 | Day 305 - Halloween

 Happy Halloween!  This year was so much fun.  The kids dressed up (Dean - Harry Potter, Kenzie - Rapunzel, and Chase - Clark Kent)  We went trick or treating at publix, out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and to Grandmama Putnams to see all the cousins. 

2012 | Day 304 - Field Trip

Kenzie went on her first field trip today.  They went to the pumpkin patch.  She came home with this cute little pumpkin.

2012 | Day 303 - Caramel Apples

We made caramel apples with the neighbor kids today. 

2012 | Day 302 - 8 Years

We celebrated Dean's 8th birthday today.  It was awesome.  He got a new bike.  Got to eat all his favorite foods and we got to play all day.  It was perfect!

2012 | Day 301 - Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins at Grandmama and Granddaddy's house tonight. 

2012 | Day 300 - Racing

Tonight we went to Uncle Mike's 40th birthday party.  He had it at a racing and video game place.  The kids really liked the go-carts.  I wasn't a fan.  It was one of the scariest things I have done in a really long time. 

2012 | Day 299 - Crayon

Chase decided to eat on of the crayons today.  I am going to be cleaning it up for weeks. 

2012 | Day 298 - Slide

Scott picked up the counter for the basement and when her came home with it, the kids decided to make it into a slide. 

2012 | Day 297 - Prizes

Dean and Kenzie got a lot of prizes from school today.  They both got perfect attendance.  Dean also got honor roll and the best effort award. 

2012 | Day 296 - Cold

Chase wore one of my jackets on his head all day. 

2012 | Day 295 - Eating

Chase seems to always be eating something. 

2012 | Day 294 - Blocks

Tonight we had a contest to see who could stack the blocks the highest.  Scott won!  Chase had so much fun destroying all the towers :)

I made some banana bread for the kids after school snack today.

Dean is writing a story for homework this week.

We went to dinner at Chick-fil-a and the kids got to play in the play area for a while. 

2012 | Day 289 - 14 Months

My little man is 14 months!

2012 | Day 288 - Sorry

We played the game 'Sorry' as a family today.  It was fun.  I am really trying to teach the kids to be good sports.  Sometimes it is hard, especially during a game like this one.

Scott's grandpa turned 90, and we had his party today.

Grandma went to lunch with both the kids today.  They loved being able to introduce her to all their friends.

It is always so fun when Grandma Bush is in town.  I am so glad we take the time to get pictures of the kids with their grandparents.

Yay!   We started painting the basement.  We had to prime the walls 3 times today.  It looks great :)

Today we watched General conference.  It was nice to sit and listen to the prophet.

Dean had his birthday party at Grandmama and Granddaddy Putnams house. 

2012 | Day 279 - Bats

I decorated the house for Halloween today.  I cut out bats for the front room. 

2012 | Day 278 - Banner

Dean and Kenzie made a Halloween banner for Grandma and Grandpa Bush.  Grandma is coming to visiting us in a few days. 

2012 | Day 277 - Walls

Scott is almost done with all the walls in the basement.  We are going to start painting soon :)  It is feeling more and more real each day.  I can't wait to see how it all turns out.

2012 | Day 276 - Parent/Teacher Conference

 

Tonight was Parent/Teacher conference at the school.   It was nice to get to sit down and talk with the kids teachers.  They are both doing great this year.  They are both at the top of their classes and their teachers are very happy with the progress they are making.  Kenzie has a perfect conduct record and Dean is having his best year behaving.  I am very proud of them both! 

2012 | Day 275 - Haunted House

The kids made a haunted house on the chalkboard today.  I love how Kenzie decided to pose as a zombie when I asked to take a picture of their artwork.
