2013 | Day 59 - House Party Toys

We got selected to host another house party.  This one is for Fisher Price Spin Shotz.  We unloaded all the goodies today and let the kids try it out.  They are pretty fun!

2013 | Day 58 - Bubble Bath

Kenzie stayed home from school today.  So, after she started feeling a little better, she and Chase took a bubble bath.  It was Chase's first ever bubble bath and he wasn't sure what to think.  He liked playing with it for a minute or two, but then he got annoyed that he couldn't get it all off his body.  And he was scared to move around the tub.  He only stayed in the bath for about 5 minutes, then he got into the shower to clean off all the bubbles. 

2013 | Day 57 - Sick Kenzie

Kenzie is home sick from school today.  It is the first day she has missed this year.  She is really sad that she doesn't have perfect attendance any more.  She woke us up at 2am last night because she was throwing up everywhere.  Then this morning she started throwing up again.  I hate when the kids are sick.  Hopefully she will start feeling better soon. 

2013 | Day 56 - Parent/Teacher Conference

Today we went to the kids parent / teacher conferences at school.  They were great.  Dean and Kenzie are both doing great and loving this school year.  Kenzie is one of the top readers and helpers in her class and her teacher praised her art work.  Dean is also doing great.  He just took a math test to see if he could be in a special 2nd grade math group that meets once a week.  Not only did he get into the class, but we were told that he got one of the highest scores on the test.  I am very proud of him and the work he puts into learning.  Chase had fun at the school.  He wanted to fold his arms every time we walked in the halls.  So cute!

2013 | Day 54 - Chase loves babies

Chase got to hold baby Owen for the first time tonight.  He loved it.  He was so cute kissing the baby and patting his head.  I really hope he can be a big brother one day.  He would be the best. 

2013 | Day 53 - PJ Day

Today was Pajama Day at the kids school.  They got to wear their favorite Pajamas, take pillows and blankets and books to read. 

2013 | Day 52 - Snuggle Moments

Chase is on the run these days.  He will only stay in one place for a few moments, then he is off to the next greatest thing.  I love the few snuggles I get through out the day.  Today I was taking some pictures of him running around the house, when he stopped and sat on my lap.  I snapped this picture and love it even if it's out of focus and our heads are cut off.  I love my little boy!

2013 | Day 51 - Birthday Skype

Today is my Mom's birthday!  So, after everyone got home from school and work we did a family Skype call.  I always love being able to see and talk to everyone in my family at the same time.  I have the best sisters and parents ever and I am so grateful for them and their friendships.  We also found out that Emily is having a baby boy.  It was a great day for the Bush family!

2013 | Day 50 - Zebra

Kenzie got this zebra bouncing toy when she was little, and we just got out out for Chase to play with.  He has had lots of fun jumping and spinning on it. 

2013 | Day 49 - Baby Cakes

Grandma and Grandpa Bush gave Kenzie a baby cake maker for her birthday, so today we pulled it out and made some cake.  It was really easy and really fun.  The kids all helped mix up the batter and put it in the machine.  The little cake balls were finished cooking in 4 minutes.  I forgot to get stuff to make frosting, so I made a gaze to dip them in.  They were delish!

2013 | Day 48 - Coloring

Kenzie loves to color and it is one of her favorite things to do during sacrament meeting.  She always picks a new coloring book to bring each week.  I love looking threw the books at all her pictures.  She is very talented. 

2013 | Day 47 - Newborn and The Circus

 I had to share 2 photos.  This afternoon we went to Debi's house to take some newborn pictures of baby Owen.  It was really fun.  He really didn't want to sleep.  Kenzie was very exited to meet him and to have her picture taken with him.  She is a baby lover (just like her mom!)  She spent the rest of the time drawing pictures for Owen.  After the pictures we went to the circus at Philips Arena.  It was really fun.  We were in a private suite with a few of Scott's co-workers.  The kids thought it was the best surprise ever!  Chase had fun dancing and running around.  What a great day!

2013 | Day 46 - Eighteen Months

My little Chase is eighteen month.  That is crazy.  He is 1 and a 1/2 years old.  He is old enough to go to nursery.  He is growing way too fast.  He is learning more and more everyday.  He knows about 15 signs and is starting to say words.  He can almost turn the door knobs.  He is starting to get picky about foods.  He loves being around people and playing.  He hates going to bed, but he sleeps a lot.  He is awesome!

2013 | Day 45 - Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!  Today was really fun.  I made sugar cookies for the kids, they got tons of treats from school.  We took pictures together, I made Ritz chicken for dinner and Scott gave me Krispy Kreme donuts.  It was a pretty great day :)

2013 | Day 44 - Valentines

Today we made valentine cards for all the kids in Dean and Kenzie's school classes.   Kenzie's cards had unicorns and rainbow and Deans cards had video game remotes.  They were really cute!

2013 | Day 43 - Diaper Tower

We just bought Chase new size 3 diapers!  He was very excited that Scott let him play with the boxes and he helped him climbed to the top of the diaper tower.  

2013 | Day 42 - Coloring Bags

Sharon and Mike gave Kenzie a backpack that you can color yourself.  Kenzie was very excited.  She has been asking ever since she opened it if she could start to color it.  So, today I finally let her!  She is an amazing artist.  She loves to spend time picking out colors and making sure her artwork is perfect. 

2013 | Day 41 - Primary Talk

Kenzie gave a talk in primary today.  She did an amazing job.  We wrote it together and she drew all the pictures.  She talked about the earth and how Heavenly Father made it for us. 

2013 | Day 40 - Owen Toby

My newest nephew, Owen Toby Putnam, was born today!  He is such a cute little baby boy.  His stats are 7lbs, 3oz and 19 inches long.  I got to spend a few hours at the hospital holding and photographing him.  It was so much fun and he was so sweet.  I can't wait to hold him again.

2013 | Day 39 - Splash

Chase LOVES taking baths and showers.  He would spend the entire day splashing around the tub if I would let him.  His favorite bath toy is the 'Green Toy' Tug boat.  It is the best bath toy ever!  Today Chase had to take a bath because his hair was full of dumdum suckers and we had to get him clean and ready to go out to dinner tonight.  We went to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate Kenzie's birthday :)

2013 | Day 38 - Pineapple Pizza

We ended up waiting to have Kenzie's birthday pizza until today because Dean had scouts last night.  Kenzie wanted Pineapple pizza from Papa Johns.  It was really good. 

2013 | Day 37 - Happy Birthday Kenzie

Happy Birthday Kenzie!  Today was so fun.  We got to eat fun food, play games, paint our nails, open presents, and have fun being together as a family.  Kenzie picked pancakes for breakfast, Chick-fil-a for lunch, and pizza for dinner.  She also got Krispy Kreme donuts AND cupcakes AND brownies with icecream.  I think it was a pretty great birthday!

2013 | Day 36 - Six Pictures

Tomorrow is Kenzie's 6th birthday!  I know that it is going to be a very busy day, so we took some of her birthday pictures today!  We had so much fun.  After school, she showered and got dressed.  Then we blow dried her hair and I even put on a little make-up!  Then we tried to take as many pictures as we could before the sun went down.  She loved being in front of the camera today.  She came up with new poses and had lots of fun making jokes.  It was a very fun birthday photo shoot!

2013 | Day 35 - Brothers

Chase and Dean are such great brothers.  They love to wrestle and play catch together.  Today Dean got Chase out of bed after his nap.  Then they spent some time in the cardboard playhouse pretending to brush teeth.

2013 | Day 34 - Nap at Church

We decided to all go to church today.  We know that Chase has been running fevers the past few days, but this morning he was acting fine and we are trying really hard to go every week.  Chase had a really hard time during sacrament meeting, so I took him to the car for a nap while Scott went to teach our primary class.

2013 | Day 33 - Sick Baby

Chase is sick :(  He has been running a fever off and on since yesterday afternoon and his nose wont stop running.  It makes me so sad to see him in pain.  I think this is the first time he has really been sick.  He just wants to sit on my lap and cry.  He wont eat or drink anything and I have to force him to take his medicine.  I just put him down for his afternoon nap and he fell asleep within a few seconds.  He is usually the happiest little boy and I hate seeing him so miserable.  Get better soon sweet boy!

2013 | Day 32 - Citizen of the Month

Kenzie got the citizen of the month award this month at her school.  We are so proud of her and for her continued excellence.  Her conduct has been perfect this year.  She has never had to clip down (the schools behavior system), her teachers always have good things to say about her, and she has lots of friends because she is such a nice person.  We got to go to her school this morning for a breakfast (cinnamon rolls) and ceremony to watch her, and some other kids, get the award.
